Amsterdam wants to be the circular capital of the world. And we are already halfway to make this vision become a reality. Companies, governmental organizations, universities and scientists, they all come to Amsterdam to participate in the growing Amsterdam circular movement.
The Amsterdam Circular Challenge uses this energy to give participants the opportunity to create their own circular economy startup in this vibrant city. During a short, but intense six-week course, participants work on resolving one of our challenges. After those six weeks we’ll guide them into turning their solution into a startup.
The winner of last year’s Amsterdam Circular Challenge, .Planq, creates design furniture from water plants growing in the canals of Amsterdam. They are now a successful startup.
